OUR MISSION

We support young people in their sporting and personal progress, combining the pleasure of the game with structured development, in order to cultivate physical, mental and ethical resilience.

ABOUT US

StrideYourPassion training camps are designed to accommodate the physical and psychological development of young basketball players and offer a tailored basketball program aimed at improving athleticism, developing skills, and understanding basketball and team concepts. The players who attend SYP training camps range in skill level from beginners to the very elite of Swiss basketball. Since our inception, we have been endorsed by over 30 current and former members of the Swiss youth national team.

Timeline – The Story of Christophe and StrideYourPassion

1997 – The birth of a passion

Christophe discovered basketball at the age of 7 at the Versoix Basket club, thanks to a school friend. His first game would change his life.

2005–2008 – Golden years in Versoix

Swiss U15 Champion (2005)
Swiss U17 Vice-Champion (2007)
Swiss U20 Champion (2008)

But also…
Severe adductor injury, 18 months off the field. A formative ordeal that strengthened his resilience.

2010 – The NCAA Dream

Christophe receives a full scholarship to play in NCAA Division I at Florida Gulf Coast University. A dream come true.

2012 – The national feat

Conference Champion with FGCU
National sensation during March Madness: victory against Georgetown and San Diego State, qualification for the Sweet 16 in front of 40,000 people.

2014–2015 – Difficult transition

Bachelor in Business Administration (Chaminade) Master in Sport Management (University of Alabama)

A last hope at Alabama (SEC) will never see the light of day due to injuries and tensions with the staff.

Christophe signed his first professional contracts in Switzerland (Lugano Tigers, Massagno).

2016–2019 – Launch and Success

SYP organizes camps in the USA (Worcester) and Switzerland.
Many young people come through SYP and then shine with the national teams:
Toni & Niko Rocak, Jacques Safre, Noah Fruh, Achile Spadone, Yannick Jaggi, Mirnes & Mirza Ganic, Nicolo Isotta…

2020 – Adaptation

Covid forces us to rethink the model.
Start of a partnership with BBC Nyon to organize local camps throughout the year.

2022 – The message becomes a book

Release of “Win The Day” (now The Basketball Path), a tool book to structure the dreams of young basketball players.

2024 – Continued expansion

New partnership with Veyrier Salève Basket
SYP continues to grow.

2004 – Choice of the Heart

After dabbling in several sports, Christophe decided to devote himself entirely to basketball. His passion became a commitment.

2009 – Heading to the United States & national recognition

Christophe graduated from high school and joined Worcester Academy (USA). There, he rubbed shoulders with future NBA players (Will Barton, Andre Drummond, Michael Carter-Williams, etc.) in the legendary NEPSAC league.

Selection in the Swiss U20 national team

Finished 2nd as the top scorer at the U20 European Championship in Skopje, Macedonia

2011 – First successes

Selection to the Atlantic Sun Conference All-Freshman Team, alongside future pros like Torey Craig (NBA).

2013 – The moment of grace

Christophe joins Chaminade University (NCAA D2):
42 points against Baylor (tied Adam Morrison's record)
10 3-pointers (Maui Invitational tournament record)
But his season was interrupted by chronic knee pain.

2016 – End of career, start of mission

After 3 years of pain, Christophe puts an end to his career.
He founded StrideYourPassion (SYP): a gateway for young Swiss talents to the USA.

2020 – Adaptation

Covid forces us to rethink the model.
Start of a partnership with BBC Nyon to organize local camps throughout the year.

2021 – Resilience and Return

After a 5-year hiatus, Christophe returns to competition with Lausanne 3x3 and the Swiss national 3x3 team.
Partnership with BC Épalinges to launch new camps.

2024 – Continued expansion

New partnership with Veyrier Salève Basket
SYP continues to grow.
